Prehistoric finds around Aschau
The impressive graves and caches with offerings to the gods found around Aschau are up to 4000 years old and indicate the importance of the site.
Lying at the entrance into the Prien Valley and on a major north-south route between the Chiemgau and the Inn Valley, Aschau was already recognised an ideal location for settlement and trade in prehistoric times, as is indicated by the concentration of archaeological finds here.
The information board is located in the Kurpark Aschau at the tourist information. Parking is available.
