Bronze age hoard sites

The hoards of valuable bronze are 4000 years old and were probably deposited near a spring as offerings to the gods.

An early bronze age hoard dating to 2000 B.C. with 5 ring ingots, one flanged axe, and one ring collar was found under a large stone. A second deposit of ring ingots was found nearby. Some of the finds are on exhibition in the museum BEDAIUM.

The bronze age hoard sites near Heimhilgen with information boards are station 8.1 of the archaeological round tour.
